Firewalls
& No Photos Appearing
Our
website is PACKED with product photos. If you are not seeing
them, your computer is most likely running a firewall (like
most today) and it's your ad-blocking and privacy control
that is causing the problem.. Furthermore, you're probably
running a Norton product such as Norton Firewall or Norton
System Works - although other products do it as well. These
can provide a problem with Microsoft Internet Explorer when
trying to view images. What happens is that your firewall
is blocking images that it thinks are advertisements or pop-ups.
To view our images while using your firewall, you'll need
to adjust your firewall settings to allow the images to display.
If you do not know how, you'll need to temporarily disable
your firewall while viewing the site, but remember to enable
it when done viewing.
These
steps may help with Norton products:
To
disable Privacy control
1. Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall.
2. On the left side of the screen, click Privacy Control (or
Privacy, depending on your version).
3. Deselect Enable Privacy.
If you are able to view images after disabling the above,
then these settings are the culprit .Now to determine the
exact option that causes this problem.
To determine which Privacy settings cause the problem, go
to the Custom settings option.
1. Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall.
2. On the left side of the screen, click Privacy Control (or
Privacy, depending on your version).
3. Click Enable Privacy.
4. Click Custom Level.
5. Make sure that all the settings shown are disabled.
Now enable each setting one by one. After enabling a setting,
click OK/Apply and checkout webpages with IE. If they still
work, enable another setting until you can find the culprit.
